Today posted two socks that I had been working on for Etsy. Sales are a little slow but the holidays are coming and going to have a sale in my shop toward November. These are two socks with patterns: Basketweave and Lacy Rib. I incorporated the patterns into the socks and they came out really nicely. Hope that they sell.
I decided to knit a pair of socks for my Grandson Luke....who is entering his new high school this fall. The colors of the school are Maroon and Gold and thought I would send him a little school spirit! These were knitted using Knit Picks Stroll and Wandering Wool is the gold color.
So haven't posted a lot of late and it is June already....lots of knitting has been happening as I received some custom orders that have been taking a lot of my time. These were knitted for a repeating customer who wanted my Scrunch Socks in a short version and on lighter weight yarn. Had to refigure the sock pattern and knitted of smaller needles but they came out really nicely and hopefully she will like them. Used Knit Pick Comfy Fingering yarn.
So today am doing a promotion that should be interesting....running a reduced price for this pattern for limited time and promoting a drawing for the actual knitted pair of socks in the instructions. all ends on May 15,2015 and will be interesting to see if I sell any patterns.! YIKEs
Decided to try a new pattern for a pair of socks. Using an interesting triangle pattern. Sorta looks like those triangle flags that wave on lines. The yarn is Knit Picks Brights and just love this color. Also knitting them as ankle length as I would think they would nice for the Spring or fall. Pattern is working so well that I think I will put it on paper. It is easy to remember an 8 row pattern repeat. More soon.
First seen in FB Addicted to Sock Knitting...the Dither pattern free down load on Ravelry "Dither Sock" worth the knit. Loved how fast this went and loved the end result. Ready for St. Pat's Day and my husband is a lucky fellow!
Snowy days so knitting a lot more than I usually do. Wish I could knit faster as some on the group in Addicted to Sock Knitting do....one lady knitted 27 socks since the beginning of the year. Not sure if it was hand knitted or machine knitted but that is a lot of socks. My knitting always seems to get complicated with my mind always wanting to elaborate on a given pattern or just want to do something original...that is bogs me down I think. Anyway a couple of items I knitted the last couple of weeks: Lacy Alpaca Socks (merging two fine lace weight baby alpaca threads together) and a wrist warmer...new to me but were suppose to be a pair of socks. After I knitted the pattern I thought i would just make them into the warmers to show off the pattern!
