Sock Pattern Testing

There are times that I can't believe the wonderful people that I have met on line while selling on Etsy or  while sharing on Ravelry my socks and mitts. This is a photo sent to me by Patrick and Alex who are testing my Link Cable and Rib Sock Pattern. The care that they have taken to contact me on the progress has been really wonderful and the results of the test knit has been rewarding. I loved the photo and had to share it. Well knitted and I am sure that the reward of wearing them will be warm and fuzzy. Thank you again to Patrick and Alex.....amazing.

The Cotton Cable Scrunch Sock

So this has been a very interesting journey from a year ago when I created this sock from a photo for a lady who wanted the sock, to today having knitted 20 pairs with 3 back logged and having put the pattern on paper to sell. I am dumbfounded that I started the selling price at 40.00 and currently a finished pair is 46.00 and custom is 50.00. I keep raising the price as I keep thinking that they won't sell so quickly and I can then have time to knit socks and mitts that I have been wanting to do. I actually have a pair of mitts (Criss Cross Cuffed) that I am half way through but keep having to stop because of another custom order of these my Biggest Seller...the Scrunch Socks! Just amazing and funny thing is I love to knit these and really have gotten to the point that I can knit them within 3-4 days...and that is only knitting in the evenings. But today because I have 3 back logged I will be knitting during the day to fullfill the orders! Wow.

Scrunch sock in ivory...a big seller.

Double Cross side Cable socks

Double Cross Side Cable Socks
Well finally finished the final sock for the Double Cross Side Cable Socks! Have published in Ravelry and also Etsy. Really was a test for me as I had to knit 4 pairs of these to get the pattern right and along the way designed the heel and toe to compliment each other. I love the results and these gray socks were immediately sold on Etsy...and that was in a matter of 15 minutes after I had posted them. Really was the fastest I have ever sold a pair. Must have been the color and hopefully the pattern. Now I am starting on a pair of yellow socks and think might do a lacy pattern...but not sure. Just want a break from all these cable socks I have been doing. ...and I love cables.

More on Scrunch Socks

Today I am starting on another pair of the Scrunch Socks. I had gotten an order just prior to Christmas and am going to try to get it to the woman in Arizona for the New Year. I did manage to knit a pair for my daughter for the holidays and this is her picture she sent me. Perfect! Happy New Year...hope it is a great new year!

Scrunch Socks again!

So really have been busy...these Scrunch Socks have been a real winner. Did this grey pair last week and working of a red pair now. I really have to knit fast as I have a list of personal socks I wanted to knit as well as a couple of mitts I wanted to try to design. Wish there was more time in the day...Etsy Scrunch Socks

Cross socks Pattern

Amazing how the pattern that I published for Ravelry has been requested and actually knitted by someone in Denmark! I am continually amazed how the wide web connects people and makes the world a very small place. It is really satisfying to see your pattern done by someone. Just amazing...

Basket Weave

I am at a point that I am feeling like I wish I had 4 hands to knit with. Two more pairs of socks were sold today and the basketweave went after I put them on sale to the same person who purchased my variegated yellow socks. He like them so much that he decided to buy two more pairs. Wonderful but that really makes my little shop look a little empty. I'll have to knit alot and fast! What fun.

Cable Socks with Accents

Just sold this pair of socks to a woman in England. She said they matched the color of her husband's rugby team! Absolutely happy to sell these. They were knitted with Knit Pick Gloss (Merino and Silk). The only thing with this yarn is the extra care needed. I think that people are just to rushed to take the time to care for products. It's more that people need convenience of not spending too much time in mundane chores like washing socks! But, I do love the feel and look of this yarn and I think it is worth the extra effort.

Cable and Rib Sock

Using Knit Pick Essential Sock Yarn (soon to be called Stroll) knitted these socks. Pattern from Interweave knits. The yarn is very subtle in the color tones. They vary slightly and create a very hand made feel. Very soft as well and easy to knit with. Love this burgundy color. Click here to view my etsy shop!

Knit Pick Yarns

I finished the Go With The Flow socks! Knitted using Knit Picks Bare Superwash 75% Merino/25% Nylon blend yarn. Love the lacy pattern Interweave Knits Summer 2005. These are made for a Women's shoe size 7-8. They measure 9.25" flat, from heel to toe and will stretch to 10". The leg measures 9" from bottom of the heel to the top of the sock.
Machine Washable/tumble Dry Low. Great pattern...and really easy.

Knit Pick Yarns

Got some really interesting yarn from Knit Picks...called Bare Superwash/Nylon fingering. Price was6.29 for 462 yards (100 grams). Really amazing feel and texture. Machine Washable and tumble dry low, looks like a yarn that might be great for sport socks but decided to try a pattern from Interweave Knits, Summer 2005 that I wanted to do. Called go with the flow socks, nice lace pattern (I do love to do lace socks). Hope to get these on Etsy for sale. Really pretty.
